A Space for Cultural Discourse

Isometric was commissioned to create a conceptual framework for a new Asian American cultural space in New York City’s Chinatown. In workshops with community members, we identified several key opportunities: reclaiming heritage, inspiring intergenerational learning, and creating a sense of belonging. Bilingual typography forms bridges across vibrant fields of color. Along with photography that depicts many generations of Asian Americans, the visual identity celebrates Chinatown as a space of hybridity and cultural production.
